Dance music community mourns the loss of DJ Dominator
Yesterday, June 8, the global dance music community suffered a heartbreaking loss with the passing of Neil Aldred, known by his stage name, DJ Dominator. The young DnB star had recently been diagnosed with cancer and now has sadly succumbed to the disease shortly after. T
he UK-based producer, a Low Down Deep affiliate, was widely regarded as one of his genre’s brightest rising stars, especially in drum n’ bass’ jump-up style. Aldred’s early supporters in the dnb scene included Logan D, Grooverider, Nicky Blackmarket and others, and eventually Dominator even went on to launch his own production imprint, D-Stortion Records in 2016. The news of Dominator’s passing came as a surprise to both fans and peers, with a handful of fellow DJs paying their respects on Twitter.
RIP DJ Dominator…such horrible news. Far far too young to go. Sending love and strength to his family and friends
