DJ Khaled taps Calvin Harris for new album ‘Grateful’ with Beyoncé, Rihanna, Chance The Rapper and more

Here comes anotha one.

DJ Khaled’s much-hyped (and even more self-hyped) forthcoming album is finally ready to be heard, and with a first glance at the record’s newly announced tracklist, Grateful is looking to be stacked with star power. Like the 1992 Olympic Dream Team of hip-hop stacked. The album, supposedly produced by Khaled’s infant son Asahd, is due to be released on June 23. DJ Khaled has built his namesake on being the incontrovertible king of mega-collaborations, and Grateful is looking like it may be his…or baby Asahd’s magnum opus. Among the endless A-listers lined up to be featured on the upcoming LP, dance pop’s favorite super producer, Calvin Harris, is credited on “Don’t Quit” along with Travis Scott and Jerimih.

Scott, Future, Rick Ross, and Chance The Rapper all make multiple appearances on the album, along with features that include hip-hop royalty Beyoncé, Jay Z, Nas, Rihanna, and of course anyone who uses Snapchat remembers when the Drake vocals came in. At an extensive 23 tracks, with Justin Bieber, Gucci Mane, with so many others in between, Khaled has managed to pack as much wide-appeal reach into one album as it could possibly fit.

Calvin Harris’ foray into massive pop and hip-hop crossovers continues this summer with “Don’t Quit,” which, aligned with Khaled’s midas touch, has the potential to be one of Calvin’s most commercially viable highlights of the year.
