Gorillaz release ‘Sleeping Powder,’ their first single since ‘Humanz’

Following the release of their highly-anticipated fifth studio album, Humanz, in April, Gorillaz have shared a new single, “Sleeping Powder.” A music video, centered around the virtual group’s vocalist/keyboardist 2-D, accompanies the track’s release.
“I’m just sort of slowly going through all tunes that sort of didn’t work out and finishing them,” Damon Albarn noted in an interview with Zane Lowe in the weeks before the release of Humanz. “I can stay in the game for at least another 18 months, I reckon.”
At the time of the above quote, Albarn estimated that he had 40-45 Gorillaz songs under his belt that did not make it onto the 26-track album. Stream the first release from this wealth of material in the above video.
