Pasquale Rotella responds to EDC complaints

A night under the electric sky…or so attendees hoped. EDC Las Vegas kicked it into high gear this weekend for their annual gathering in the desert. This year the iconic festival surpassed all others in the United States in the terms of sheer numbers, making it the most widely attended event this year with a monstrous metrics: an estimated 136,000 people attending daily and an expected total of 400,000 in the Las Vegas Motor Speedway over the three day weekend. With that many people, however, problems arose and began to create havoc for festival-goers. One Reddit user expressed concerns via the EDC Reddit thread

Got in line for my shuttle at 5AM. Still waiting 3 and 1/2 hours later. We’re sleeping on the floor and probably still have another hour to go. This is my first EDC. I paid $800 for VIP (no VIP shuttles) and $90 for a shuttle pass. From this experience, I don’t think I’ll be returning.

EDC spokesman and founder, Pasquale Rotella, has never been to one to shy away from comments and concerns regarding his events. In light of the shuttle issues, among others, the man himself took to Instagram to offer support. Stating that “This is not the level of experience you deserve, and we are working to fix these problems. Keep the lines of communication open. If you have an issue or question, please let us know via social media,” letting people know he and the EDC team is there and ready to help in any way possible.
