Premiere: Tommy Trash celebrates EDC with gritty new original, ‘Hi Sound Lo Sound’
Summer festival season is arriving, and with it comes various compilations from record labels offering sounds that they feel embodies this time the most. Insomniac Records is naturally timing the release of their 40-tracker to EDC Las Vegas, covering virtually every corner of the dance spectrum in anticipation of the mayhem that will soon take over the Speedway.
Tommy Trash adds a brand new composition to the list with “Hi Sound Lo Sound” – a brief, yet gritty original built to work the dance-floor. The Australian hitmaker packs a good deal of futuristic synth work in with sparse piano stabs and tough segments of breaks into just under three minutes, working the bass house angle into the mix for an easily adaptable piece. “Hi Sound Lo Sound” showcases Tommy’s aptitude in mixing together elements from different genres to create catchy music, speaking to the fact he’s been highly visible within the dance music realm for the latter half of the decade.
The EDC Las Vegas 2017 Compilation will be released Friday, June 9.
