ZHU teases Nero collaboration, reveals location of his NYC Blacklizt warehouse party
For the last several months, ZHU has been cryptically gearing up for his New York Blacklizt party, the location of which has been secret until now. The esoteric artist texted details of the event, which will take place this Saturday, June 24, to select fans today, revealing that it will be held at 130 Bowery.
The ominous show, which requires attendees to wear all black to enter, will feature a four hour set from ZHU, in which he’ll allegedly place a greater focus on techno and acid house than is present in his typical performances. Given the fact that tickets for the sold-out show are currently reselling on Stubhub for a minimum of $150 (more than twice their initial price), it seems as big things loom on the horizon for Blacklizt.
Within the details about the show comes a staggering additional piece of information…ZHU directs fans to a landing page which teases a video for an unreleased collaboration with Nero. Entitled “Dreamz,” the sinister track embodies the essence of Gesaffelstein. The collaboration, which has no release date yet announced, will mark Nero’s first new production since 2015’s Between II Worlds LP (excepting their 2016 Prince tribute and Joseph Ray’s recent solo endeavor).
