Billie Eilish releases new single ‘COPYCAT’
California native Billie Eilish‘s ascent to notoriety makes Martin Garrix‘s look positively snail-paced. At 15-years old, the singer songwriter is making waves in the music industry, and her latest single “COPYCAT” features an intense baseline that merges bass, pop, and her Lorde-esque vocals. The track is slightly mysterious, a little creepy, but catchy nonetheless. The singer spoke with Billboard about the new single.
I knew exactly what I wanted to write about. It’s really cliché of this to happen, because yeah, as you get more recognized and [are] more of a big deal, then people start copying everything you do,” she explains. “But if you’re going to do everything I do, what’s the point of even trying to be you, if you’re not even you at all?
Eilish’s brother Finneas produced the song, making the siblings a force to reckon with.
