Black Coffee to perform New Year’s Eve set at one of the 7 Wonders of the World

Though 2017 is far from over, Black Coffee is already setting his sights on New Year’s Eve 2018. Despite his longstanding critical success, the artist has received more mainstream exposure than ever before in the past year, thanks to “Get It Together,” his collaboration with Drake from More Life.

One does not transition into the next year without due planning, and Black Coffee has accordingly announced his booking at Zimbabwe’s Vic Falls Carnival. A holiday event, the Vic Falls Carnival will kick off its ninth anniversary on December 29 (when the DJ is set to appear), and is poised to conclude on December 31, ushering in the new year.

While the festival’s holiday association makes it stand out as one-of-a-kind, the event’s location only furthers its rarity. Black Coffee will notably deliver a set close in proximity to Victoria Falls, the world’s largest waterfall, and duly, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, according to CNN.

The magnitude of the waterfall’s drop—the waterfall’s height and width cause it to spill the largest sheet of falling water of all waterfalls—will match that of Black Coffee’s drops on December 29, the South African DJ’s already ambient set is positioned to reach an transcendent level.
