Two of the funkiest samplesmiths, Flamingosis and YUNG BAE, on the scene have teamed up yet again for a new original “Come & Get It,” ahead of the former’s upcoming new album, A Groovy Thing. A staccato opening, with large flourishes both on and off the beat, opens up to meandering, groovy concoction of samples. The percussion is the track’s propellant, though the tempo never pushes and remains right on the edge of the beat — imbuing the track with danceable energy while allowing for the mellow melodic elements to keep things smooth.
