When Skrillex and Poo Bear join forces, a radio hit is undoubtedly in the works. The producer pairing grabbed Justin Bieber his lone gramophone, Sonny’s eighth, in 2015 with “Where Are Ü Now,” as well as follow up smash, “What Do You Mean” from Bieber’s Purpose LP. Recently news surfaced that Poo Bear, real name Jason Boyd, was in the studio with Skrillex once again, this time with Latin recording artist J Balvin and pop icon Jennifer Lopez in tow. Now, it looks like Skrillex and Boyd’s latest joint is ready to hit the airwaves. In fact, the pair’s new tune, rumored to be called “Would You Ever” could land as soon as today, July 26.

Poo Bear initially confirmed the track’s existence and release date on Twitter, though the producer later backtracked, rather weakly, on his statement, perhaps thinly veiling the confirmation fans were actually hoping for. Leaks of the new track point to a satiating stroke of nostalgia from Skrillex, stylistically reminiscent of “All I Ask Of You” and “With Your Friends,” with an energetic dose of contemporary pop flare.

Word of new music with Oshi and Sober Rob has recently surfaced as well, though Skrillex’s camp has kept characteristically tight-lipped on upcoming releases. The rumors and the silence are both stacking up, and we’re betting Skrillex is about to blow the lid off of something. Our money is on the summer’s next big hit, “Would You Ever.”
