LCD Soundsystem share pulsating instrumental track

LCD Soundsystem’s highly anticipated comeback record, American Dream, is officially out this Friday, Sept. 1.

To garner up excitement — as if James Murphy & co. really needed anymore — the band’s shared a pulsating instrumental dance track. Coming in hot at near 14 minutes long, “pulse (v.1)” is a stand alone epic for the entourage, rich in the same juxtaposed, visceral highs and lows that have become akin to the group. “pulse (v.1)” doesn’t appear on the original tracklist of American Dream, but as James explained in his comeback statement last year, LCD Soundsystem had more unreleased music than ever before. Continuing along this line of thinking, it’s possible the track may later be found on an extended version of American Dream.
