What So Not releases ethereal mix of ‘Redrum,’ by Era Istrefi

What So Not has given fans a brief taste of what’s to come musically with his dynamic new remix to Era Istrefi’s “Redrum.” Minimal in nature, smooth bass and bursts of high-charged melodies wrap around Istrefi’s powerful vocals. Fluttering guitar chords also make well-placed appearances, adding to the impactful nature of the overall record.

The production came about when the Australian icon was recruited to create a background track for “Redrum,” according to his posting in SoundCloud. Though what was intended to be the original version didn’t quite click with European Radio or in his sets, both parties involved in its production were pleased with it regardless and chose to release it as a remix.

Additionally, What So Not stated that this would be the first of a good deal of music he’s about to release. His re-work to the “Stranger Things” theme song is on this list, as well as his debut album.
