Porter Robinson replaces up-and-coming producer’s busted computer so he can finish debut album
Porter Robinson is one of the most beloved figures in the electronic music industry. His most fervent fans are known for tattooing themselves with his albums’ symbolism, creating fan art, and following him around the world to see him perform.
Robinson’s generosity isn’t limited to just providing awesome tunes, however.
Up-and-coming producer Shadient tweeted out a screenshot of three payments of $1000 from Porter himself so he could buy another laptop. His old PC had apparently died before he finished work on his upcoming first album, and he could not afford to buy a new one.
In his thank you to Porter, Shadient promised his new album would be worth the donation. Producers and fans alike have taken notice to the string of tweets, which have gained attention from fellow producers Rezz and Giraffage.
what kind of next level kind soul just gives someone $3,000 for a new computer? @porterrobinson does. another reason to love him i guess pic.twitter.com/iMZikQKWNl
