Steve Angello takes it to trippy church in heavenly new music video for ‘Rejoice’
“Rejoice” — a new Steve Angello is here.
The stalwart’s latest original track, aptly titled “Rejoice,” is a gospel-fueled anthem off Angello’s Genesis Chapter I EP that will most definitely take its viewer to church with its sweeping soundscapes and euphoric atmosphere. Moreover, the ethereal new record has also garnered its very own experimental film installment by the electro house producer himself.
In its stunning seven minute run time, Angello has curated a passionate trifecta of music, faith, and high fashion. Dubbed as an “interpretation about heaven and hell,” as the opening preface states, Steve Angello has created a visionary artistic number.
Recently Angello spoke on his manner of making music with Your EDM, “After months of disconnect I felt I had to change the way I made music, change the way I thought of music and the way I felt about music. First step was to reinvent my live performance and to do that we changed the whole way we presented the art-form we all loved unconditionally.”
He also spoke on “Rejoice” in particular, “Rejoice” is the most powerful piece of music I’ve ever created. It isn’t a written record to fill a void or accomplish status this is pure motivation, inspiration and honesty expressed by an incredible bishop that changed me completely. I’ve never done anything like it and I’ve never worked with words that meant more in my entire career. This record is groundbreaking for me as an individual. It came into my life when I needed it the most and I had to make that moment last forever by immortalizing it.
