British enigma TÂCHES has made a name for himself fusing minimal dance and world music with his mysterious, playful performances. The producer has always offered incredible releases, but now finds himself at the helm of his own eclectic imprint: Glitter Cowboy. TÂCHES will release his first EP on the label, To Move Mountains, on September 20.

In advance of the release, the multi talented artist has unveiled one stellar track from the album, exclusively to Dancing Astronaut. “Unrequited Love Affair” is the producer’s first downtempo song and operates as an ode to all he’s “loved and forgotten.” This wistful track features mesmerizing vocals from longtime collaborator Arum Flowers.

“Unrequited Love Affair” is both indicative of TÂCHES’ ability to make maximum impact with minimal elements, using spare instrumentation to create an all-enveloping mood. The dusty, nocturnal percussions seem to follow a winding desert road as Flowers, the brooding narrator, soundtracks the journey with an introspective and visceral vocal hook. If this track is any indication, the producer’s EP is going to be one of the highest quality releases out this fall.
