It’s been known for a while that these acts were already in the “Billionaire’s Club (those who have achieved 1 billion views on a YouTube video)” thanks to their mega-hit “Lean On,” but this week, its music climbed to new heights at 2.1 billion views.
This officially means “Lean On” is the most-watched dance music video ever, pushing The Chainsmokers’ “Closer” to the number 2 position. Moments like this can be viewed as an indication that dance music’s osmosis into the popular music world is one that will only continue at a stronger pace than ever in the coming future.
