Premiere: Audio drops off blistering new drum n’ bass weapon ‘Hypebeast’

South London’s Audio has always been true to his craft, shaping the course of drum n’ bass production with a stocked catalog that spans numerous notable labels over nearly two decades. The veteran beat maker’s newest, “Hypebeast,” is the final cut from his inbound EP Rat Race, rolling out just ahead of the full project’s November 10 release on Netherlands-based imprint Blackout Music. In characteristic Audio form, “Hypebeast” packs staggering sonic mayhem into a heart-racing drum n’ bass tempo, weaving together thundering drum arrangements at breakneck pace.

Heavily distorted and unapologetically aggressive, Audio’s new product is a percussive assault, polished with simple, aced sample work, designed specifically to bulldoze underground dancefloors. As Audio gears up to deliver his Rat Race collection in full, “Hypebeast” gives an electrifying taste of the one two punch fans can expect when the EP drops.
