Exclusive: Cedric Gervais – Higher ft Conrad Sewell

French producer Cedric Gervais has a well-deserved reputation in the electronic music scene for anthemic productions that get the dance floor moving. His new single, “Higher,” is yet another example from Gervais that his style is undeniably danceable.

Featuring vocals from Australian Conrad Sewell, “Higher” features a clever blend of elements from a range of genres. Built on a rock solid foundation of a four-on-the-floor beat, Sewell’s vocals range from subdued to — in line with the track’s title — bursting up into his mellifluous falsetto. Gervais gets in on the action, using a house framework to blend in elements of moombahton and, most notably, an inherently funky bassline in the second verse. While festival season may be over, “Higher” has a great chance of setting dancefloors on fire until the mainstages open again next summer.
