K?d unleashes new collaboration with Blair, ‘Distance’
Listeners never quite know what to expect when news of a new k?d song hits the internet. Will it be a dark, bass-heavy creation like “Fourth Impact” with REZZ or a lighter, brighter track like “Lose Myself?” The versatile producer continuously surprises his fans with each new production.
This time, he’s leaning on the lighter side for his collaboration with Blair, “Distance.”
The producer jumps right into “Distance” with a plucky, cheery guitar introduction. From there, he dives straight into a funky, synth-heavy melody with emotive, hopeful vocals that put out the same lighthearted vibe as Madeon‘s Adventure album. The beauty of “Distance” lies in k?d’s attention to detail and the careful craftsmanship of each aspect and angle of the upbeat track.
“Distance” is the polar opposite of k?d’s previous release a few months ago, “1234” with Medasin, showing the flexibility of his production skills.
