Siouxsie and The Banshees – Cities In Dust (Nazariff x Rosé Throne Remix)
Two Washington DC-based artists have teamed up for a haunting trap rework of Siouxsie and the Banshees’ 1986 hit “Cities In Dust.”
Nazariff and Rosé Throne came together to flip the post-punk track about the city of Pompeii, creating a grungy trap remix that modernizes the 31-year-old track. They’ve crafted a dark rendition of “Cities In Dust,” building an eerie vibe around Siouxsie’s vocals.
“I was always a fan of Siouxsie and The Banshees along with that wave of goth/glam rock bands,” Nazariff says. “I wanted to try and remix something old and vaguely familiar as opposed to the latest hit sitting at Top 40 and the vocals stood out to me. It became what it is now after a little bit of experimenting with my own sound.”
