LA Riots release ‘House Philosophy / Ladies Man’ EP
Depicted in the form of their new, two-piece release House Philosophy / Ladies Man EP off Insomniac in / rotation Records, LA Riots are fixing up a riotous new direction in their decade-long career as a formidable dance music duo. Entering the late 2000 music scene with a subversive concoction of indie rock, electro, and hip-hop music, LA Riots’ sound provided instantly infectious accessibility that catered to both underground and mainstream crowds. Their meteoric rise eventually led to them to share stages with notable electro acts like The Crystal Method and MSTRKRFT, alongside a number of other high-level festival appearances such as Lollapalooza, Ultra Music Festival, and Coachella.
Now, the West Coast mainstays are changing things up with their most recent output in the form of two original tracks that blend into a more tech house-centric realm. The first single, “House Philosophy,” is a cavort deep house cruiser, galavanting through a union of rumbling bass beats and hard-hitting kicks. As for “Ladies Man,” the track enlivens a bouncy, high-spirited tenor that easily translates into a dancefloor thriller.
With more original music on the way, this new expansion in their musical catalog is a living testament to LA Riots’ explorative vitality, a characteristical energy that has continued to captivate their global fanbase since the beginning.
