R3HAB is continuing on his sweeping undertaking of tunes that begs the question of how he’s able to churn out so much at such an expeditious pace. Having recently dropped off an original with Krewella and a rework of Thirty Seconds to Mars‘ “Walk On Water,” the artist is solidifying his standing as crossover royalty with yet another new remix.

“Slow” is originally a future bass number from the rising Matoma and Noah Cyrus. While the original is removed from its title in its mid-section, Matoma does build on the hearty piano samples with honeyed synths. R3HAB’s instead replaced the pianos with synths. He continues adding his touch onto the original record by slowing the tempo down to elevate the vocals in the track’s mid-point, only to bring light back to the surface in a rousing new future bass technique. Judging by the remix and R3HAB’s breadth of other recent activity, 2018 will be anything but slow for the artist.
