Mind Against announces return to Afterlife with solo EP, ‘Days Gone’
In 2012, Allesandro and Federico Fognini made waves in the melodic techno realm with their breakout single “Cagliostro.” Following that, the two went on to release essential collaborations with Tale Of Us and Somne, appeared on Sven Vath’s Cocoon, and Recondite’s Plangent. In 2014, they released a highly anticipated EP entitled Avalon. Avalon was a melodic work of art. The EP was enveloping in its subversive synths and rich seas of ghastly, amorphous atmospheres. Mind Against had proved immediately with the Life and Death release that they were a Berlin-based duo worthy of the techno world’s full attention.
Since then, the two have flourished tremendously. Perhaps best known for their brooding techno masterpiece, “Astral,” with Tale Of Us, Mind Against is now returning to Afterlife with a new solo EP, their first solo venture since late-2014’s Strange Days.
Due out next month, Mind Against’s Days Gone EP will mark the tenth enchanting release on Tale Of Us’ Afterlife Records. To mark the astronomical occasion, Mind Against has already shared an enticing snippet of the title track.
“Days Gone” demonstrates the class of synth-spirals Mind Against will wind around their listeners come January. It’s a captivating takeoff into cosmic space with avant-garde drums that beat into a sonic oblivion.
Mind Against has even gone on to tap Dystopian talent Alex.Do, to complete the latest high-quality chapter in the Afterlife story.
