Two-time Grammy nominee Morgan Page encircles unfamiliar territory with his new trance tune, “Calera,” an addition to Armada‘s three-track Breaking Borders EP. The Amsterdam label saw the EP challenge three of its most seasoned veterans, Sultan + Shepard, Gabriel Ananda, and Page, to venture into experimental soundscapes.

“Calera” incorporates Page’s signature progressive sound, usually manifested by the artist in house/electro fashion, in the guise of vigorous trance. The high-energy dance track is entirely vocal-less, also highly uncharacteristic of Page, allowing it a robust, old school trance vibe which thrives on synths and melodies alone.
