Premiere: Richy Ahmed provides punchy re-work of Janson’s ‘Mode’
Richy Ahmed is edging into legend territory in today’s house sphere, and thus can be trusted to provide followers with consistently caliber releases. This theory is embodied in his latest endeavor: re-molding Janson’s piece “Mode” into his own.
“Mode,” released on Ahmed’s Four Thirty Two imprint, is already quite the scintillating house cut. However, its Richy-fied version proves quite as dynamic, with the veteran sprinkling in a jazzier bass-line into the nostalgia-tinged synth progressions of the original. A bit more percussive than its predecessor, Ahmed’s interpretation is suited for peak grooving hours on the dancefloor.
Janson’s orignal version of “Mode,” along with Ahmed’s remix, will be released on December 8. Pre-order the EP here.
