DJ Python’s “Day Old Death” edit is equal parts serene and strange

New York’s DJ Python has let loose a blissful, spacious remix for the latest single from Secretly Canadian artist Makeness. The producer’s “Day Old Death” edit lets the original’s smoky vocal hang low atop the track’s percussive backbone. Shards of disparate drum patterns and enigmatic synth refrains wiggle throughout the track’s lush atmosphere in an effort that is equal parts serene and strange.
