GRiZ, Snails, Emancipator, and more join phase two of Backwoods at Mulberry Mountain

After taking 2017 off to regroup and reorganize, Backwoods is returning this year stronger than ever. While the Labor Day Weekend festival originated in Oklahoma, organizers made the bold move to relocate their event to Wakarusa’s old home of Mulberry Mountain in Ozark, Arkansas. The event also made the shift from a fall to a spring time event, now taking place April 20-22, 2018.

With a beautiful new home comes the responsibility for a bold new line-up, in which organizers have built upon their previous years’ bills that spotlighted funky jamtronica and heavy, experimental bass. Joining 2018 headliners STS9 and The Floozies on the second phase is All Good Records label head GRiZ, with additional support from EmancipatorSunSquabi, The Werks, Zoogma, Muzzy Bearr, Modern Measure, and Pretty Lights Band favorite Michal Menert.

Heavy bass is well represented too with Snails topping the 2018 bill, along with FigureSpace Jesus, and the more experimental up-and-comers Yheti and Jade Cicada. As for the highly anticipated ThazDope Records late night sets, the roster has filled out with APLSOZ, beardthug, Brainrack, Cut Rugs, LoDurr, and many more. A truly grassroots festival in its own right, Backwoods also features a plethora of local and regional acts from Colorado, Texas, Missouri, and of course, Arkansas who will round out the lineup,

Tickets are available now, with limited Early Bird tickets starting at $184 with the option of pre-party and RV upgrades.
