John Tejada announces new full-length on Kompakt, shares lead single
John Tejada is returning to the Cologne-based Kompakt Records for his 13th full-length, Dead Start Program.
Due out February 9, the 11-track venture will span a dynamic array of Tejada’s signature, soulful techno; from hypnotizing meanderings of acid assemblages to trance-inducing, electro cross-breeds.
Tejada’s new album will mark his fourth work on Kompakt, which he’s named after the analog start-up program that was used to boot the CDC 6600 from a dead start — a 1960s supercomputer ahead of its time. Ahead of the album, he’s shared the lead single”Autoseek,” which is evidently a computer-influenced work. In Tejada’s own words he’s described the work as a “reboot from the challenges life throws at you.”
Dead Start Program is out February 9 via Kompakt Records.
