For the first in his career, Canadian DJ/producer Felix Cartal received a gold record for “Get What You Give,” and after receiving multiple nominations at The JUNO Awards, he is primed for a massive hype around his upcoming LP. As its release date draws ever nearer, Cartal released the album’s first official single, “Runaway,” featuring 22-year-old electro-pop singer/songwriter REGN.
The track is a pleasant medley of soothing piano chords, guitar riffs, and some captivating lyrics. It takes a sudden turn with a house drop that includes deep synths and looped vocals from the Chicago-born singer. Cartal heads to his home country in April to perform at Snowbombing music festival.
