Icarus flourishes with future disco track ‘Love Has Come Around’

Can disco ever be tender? Leave it to Bristol-based production duo Icarus to singe a vivacious disco track with a hint of sweet sadness. “Love Has Come Around” is the group’s first release from their upcoming In The Dark EP, set for springtime release.

The track’s traditional four-on-the-floor dance beat and borrowed vocal sample from Donald Byrd’s 1981 soul hit of the same name give the track the illusion of unequivocal disco delight. However, an arrestingly astral lead-synth, accompanied by daydreamy guitar chords and breathy female vocals beckon us towards a Lane 8-reminiscent dream state. The biological brothers are notorious for these irking turns from dance to delicacy, most strikingly in their 2016 breakout track, “October,” as well as their Anjunadeep debut “Hiding.”

Icarus has also announced their new album will be accompanied by their first ever live tour, kicking off in late April. Tickets can be purchased here
