Austin’s Levitation Festival is shaping up to be an exuberant apex of psychedelic music’s finest
Originally founded in 2008 as Austin Psych Fest by members of the American psychedelic rock outfit The Black Angels and friends, Austin’s Levitation festival is returning to the city this April, offering an experimental paradise to those seeking sonic refugee.
2018 will see various venues throughout the city bolster the hottest acts psychedelic music has to offer, all while bringing an intimate musical experience to those in attendance.
Levitation already boasted a striking and diverse lineup including the legendary shoegazers Slowdive, The Black Angels, Ministry, Electric Wizard, the prolific Ty Segall, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Parquet Courts, Thee Oh Sees, Dan Deacon, Waxahatchee, and more.
Now, the festival’s confirmed 19 new shows and added a plethora of experimental music’s finest, such as DIIV, Panda Bear, Baths, Wooden Shjips, The Make-Up, and more across the weekend.
Levitation returns to Austin, TX April 26-29, 2018. Tickets and more information are available here.
