In November, mysterious producer Krayysh released his debut EP on Mad Zoo, featuring a standout single by the same name, “Talk to Me,” with vocalist Joyia. The EP featured four original tracks, along with Mat Zo‘s rendition of the namesake track.
Nearly five months later, an equally mysterious producer has unleashed his remix of the track. Perhaps best known for his collaboration with REZZ, “DRUGS!,” 13 wows in this outstandingly trippy rework of Krayysh’s original.
He starts off slow, drawing out Joyia’s down-pitched vocals. Around the minute mark, 13 dives into the dark, ramping up the intensity for the daunting drop ahead. The producer layers his chorus with menacing amounts of bass, keeping a pace of 100 BPM that heightens anticipation for each drop.
13’s drawn-out take on this track is an intriguing one. The unfurled rework creates an entirely different atmosphere than the one Krayysh originally laid out, giving listeners space to explore every crevice of the song.
