Breakaway Music Festival announces 2018 calendar, Nashville expansion
Ohio based promotions company Prime Social Group has announced the full 2018 calendar for its flagship event, Breakaway Music Festival. Breakaway will touch down in a variety of cities this festival season, including Dallas, Columbus, Grand Rapids, Charlotte, and for the first time in Breakaway history, Nashville. Breakaway’s commitment to expansion figures not only in its foray into Nashville, but in its extension of its Columbus and Charlotte events—the Columbus edition of Breakaway will now be a three-day festival, whereas Charlotte will now span two days.
“We started this festival by combining urban living with a carefully curated, multi-genre lineup that festival goers of all ages and music preferences could enjoy,” Managing Partner Adam Lynn said of Breakaway Festival’s conceptual basis. ‘After just four-years, Breakaway Columbus has grown into a large-scale festival home to over 25,000 attendees, which has inspired us to spread the festival brand to other markets. Every city could use their own festival to call home—we’re really excited for what the future looks like,’ Lynn added.
Breakaway boasts a storied history of diverse bookings, including Chance the Rapper, Zedd, Bassnectar, Kendrick Lamar, and Blackbear. The 2018 lineups for all Breakaway events will be announced in the coming weeks.
Pre-sale tickets to Breakaway Festival’s various locations will be available to the public on Thursday, March 29 at 12 PM EST. Pre-sale tickets will only be on sale for a 24-hour period. Those who purchased passes to Breakaway’s 2017 edition will receive an access code that can be used to purchase the pre-sale tickets prior to the sale.
Early bird tickets will become available to the general public on Friday, March 30 at 12 PM EST. Those interested in attending Breakaway Festival will only be able to buy multi-day tickets at this time; the festival will release single-day tickets at a later date.
