Culprate releases final edition of ‘Unity Project’ EP

For months, UK producer Culprate has been releasing highly stylized installments from his Unity Project EP. The synergistic project is an extension of Culprate’s Twitch channel – wherein he divulges into music and production techniques. Each piece of music from the EP is a collaborative effort between Culprate and a fellow artist within the tightly-woven Twitch community.

The installments have each taken a unique approach to the irreverent, indie electronic Culprate has such a keen proclivity towards. The fourth and final part of the EP showcases more fresh, untapped talent, including the likes of Chimera, Skope, Ghostek, and more – all of whom Culprate has sought to provide an additional platform for with the project.

Permeating throughout this heavily atmospheric final segment are dark, otherworldly textures, as seen in the Siskiyou collab, “Hollow Men,” which features incantation-like vocal samples, and ominous trap beats. “The Art of Accord” with Chimera breathes some light into the EP, with fluttering harp and chime samples. Though the dark cloud returns for good by the time the listener moves to Skope’s “Blowfish,” with its glitchy, warped-out bass and breakbeat fervor.
