Premiere: Matt Tolfrey – Fallen
UK house music legend, Matt Tolfrey, proves his mettle once again with an infectious new record, “Fallen,” from his forthcoming EP, Nothing Like Home, slated for release this week. This EP is already his third release in 2018, but it’s made all the more special by the fact that it will be his first from one of house and techno music’s most adored new upstart labels, Desert Hearts Records, out of southern California.
“Fallen” is a track that’s made to keep the dance floor moving, by an artist with a long and storied career that shows no signs of slowing down either. Described by fellow tech-house phenom, Seth Troxler, as “the last great British DJ,” Matt Tolfrey has developed a reputation for continually delivering quality beats, grooves, and rhythms over the last 15+ years as a prolific DJ/Producer, and this track proves no exception.
Defined by clean kicks, bouncy bass lines, and catchy synth/piano progressions, it’s no wonder why Desert Hearts’ label boss, Mikey Lion, describes this new EP as “…one of my all-time favorites I’ve signed to the label.”
