Spotify to revamp its free subscription service
Change is on the way for users of Spotify’s free subscription tier.
Bloomberg reports that updates are imminent for the $0 version of Spotify, including one that will seek to make the service easier to access via mobile device by allowing listeners with the free plan to search playlists in a quicker fashion. While all users of Spotify’s free subscription tier users can listen to any Spotify playlist offered, listeners do not currently have the ability to play specific songs on the playlists, since the playlists operate in shuffle mode. An announcement concerning these alterations will be forthcoming from Spotify in several weeks.
The revamp of the free subscription intends to improve the listening experience provided by the tier.
