Director and documentarian behind the Avicii: True Stories documentary, Levan Tsikurishvili, has been considerably quiet surrounding the untimely passing of Tim Bergling. Now the director’s opened up about the effect of Bergling’s passing, even sharing an incredibly touching story about who Avicii was on a deeper level.
With a small anecdote, Tsikurishvili remembers Avicii’s true character at his soul a story about the pair being in Madagascar. Bergling had been feeding lemurs when one bit his finger, and though he was hurt and his team was angry about the animal’s action, Avicii remained calm, reminding everyone that it was a simple mistake.
“You introduced me to a world that did not exist for me before our paths crossed again and I have you to thank for many things I still do today,” Tsikurishvili concludes. “I will always stay loyal to you and your spirit, nothing has changed in our loyalty, and I will forever carry you deep down in my heart until the day I die and hopefully meet you again in a better place, where you are right now.”
