Beach House thickens the hazed-anticipation surrounding their new album with new single, ‘Black Car’
Dipping into Beach House‘s amorphous pool of dream pop yields a suitable soundtrack for most settings. With a mesmerizing air, the duo’s signature synths, and harrowing harmonies, the Baltimore royals match up perfectly with an afternoon train ride, dancing in the morning light, or hell, now the Victoria Legrand-led group may even find themselves among the throngs of a horror movie soundtrack.
Beach House’s eerie and aptly-titled single, “Black Car,” is the latest to lead their new album and though it balances out from its somber air near the end, the gloominess of the song only thickens the haze that surrounds their new LP.
