Destructo delivers stacked inaugural All My Friends lineup

Gary Richards has an undeniable rap sheet, but perhaps Destructo‘s greatest strength lies in his legendary curatorial abilities — from being Rick Rubin’s ear to the underground to galvanizing the west coast rave scene in the 90s, Richards has made a career of being well ahead of the curve. Nowadays he spends his time supervising some of the country’s largest festival brands, and his latest venture that also marks a return to Los Angeles, All My Friends Music Festival, showcases Richards’ masterful curation talents with the event’s debut lineup.

Headlined by Gucci Mane, RL Grime, M.I.A., and Jamie XX, the full lineup has now been revealed, stacked with performances by some of Destructo’s closest pals. Anna Lunoe, Wax Motif, Chris Lake, Soul Clap, Yo Gotti, and Justin Martin are all booked for the inaugural AMFMF, along with some additionally impressive grabs in Pete Tong, Jhené Aiko, Armand Van Helden, and Claude Vonstroke‘s Barclay Crenshaw alter ego. Carefully toeing the line between underground hip-hop and dance flavors, with a perfectly balanced dash of mainstream appeal, Destructo delivers an enticing first lineup for his newest festival property, slated for August 18–19 at ROW DTLA.
