New Instagram feature lets users buy concert tickets in app
When an Instagram ad does its job of enticing you, a “link in bio” will take you to an external source where you can purchase the item or learn more. But what if you could purchase something like your favorite festival tickets without ever leaving the app?
Instagram is working with Eventbrite to integrate a new feature that will allow its users to purchase concert and festival tickets with the quick click of an in-app “get tickets” button. Organizers like those of Life is Beautiful are among the first to try out the feature.
“Life is Beautiful has a highly engaged and enthusiastic community on Instagram and it has long been one of the most powerful channels for us to reach fans,” says Life is Beautiful CEO Justin Weniger. “The Eventbrite integration with Instagram has proved to help deliver an even better ticket buying experience.”
Instagram is working to provide more tools for businesses to interact with their customers, like new messaging options and action buttons.
