Red Bull Radio to bring back Live From Detroit for Movement

Red Bull has announced it will reinstate Red Bull Radio’s Live From Detroit, from May 21–28, to coincide with Detroit’s fiercely celebrated 12th edition of Movement Festival — an also celebrates an 11-year partnership between the institutions.

The show will be packed with a week of Detroit-centric coverage, including guest DJs, artist interviews, and historical segments on the Motor City itself. Live streams from Movement’s Red Bull Music Stage will also be featured on the show, including that of Diplo, Modeselektor, DJ Premier, and more.

A myriad of special guests have already been confirmed, such as Shigeto, Black Milk, and DJ Bone, while Red Bull’s Bunker NY, Fireside Chat, and Headphone Highlight will air special segments exploring Detroit’s house, techno, queer, jazz, and hip-hop scenes.

Additionally, Red Bull Radio has announced the debut of Exhibit 3000: Detroit House, a exhibit on Detroit house music with Submerge and Underground Resistance. The exhibit will explore house music’s arrival in Detroit from Chicago, its roots in disco, gospel and Detroit’s black gay underground. It will open to the public Monday, May 21 at Red Bull Radio’s Detroit studio and remain on view through the end of August.
