Rostam – Half-Light ft Kelly Zutrau (Instupendo Remix)

Rostam, the mononymic musician formerly of Vampire Weekend, tapped rising producer Instupendo for a remix of his track, “Half-Light” — as well as a supporting slot at his recent performance at Brooklyn Steel.
Instupendo crafts a gentle lattice of sounds and atmosphere that elevate Rostam and Kelly Zutrau’s vocals. The producer’s signature style is stilly clearly evident, though he opts to turn down the haze for a more focused, easily defined design. The production matches the vocals’ yearning nature, rising slowly into a subdued yet emotive catharsis.
Instupendo’s remix of “Half-Light” is featured on Half-Light Remixes: EP1, which also features selections from Tourist, Jim-E Stack, and Matsor Projects.
