Tiësto, Dzeko, Post Malone and Preme turn ‘Jackie Chan’ in the ultimate summer tune
It seems these days that electronic music and hip-hop have been merging more and more, from festival line-ups that flaunt an array of artists on both sides to collaborations that we might not have ever thought of before.
This is very much the case on the new collaboration “Jackie Chan” between Tiësto and Dzeko featuring Post Malone and Preme. If the title and lyrics sound familiar, you aren’t crazy as “Jackie Chan” was originally released by Preme featuring Post Malone on his album, Light Of Day.
Tiësto and Dzeko take the minimal hip-hop track and pump doses of summer energy in the form of strumming guitar, a four on the floor beat, and a pinch of house vibes, to turn it into an irresistible dance tune. Some people are going to turn this on and want to not like it, but after Post slides his verse like butter over this lighthearted beat, you too will be melting.
This collaboration comes right in time for EDC where Tiësto and Post Malone will be performing…a coincidence? Well, that’s something our friends at EDC will have to tell us themselves.
