DJ Snake and Mercer create house haven with ‘Let’s Get Ill’
DJ Snake had a bit of a week.
Three years after the prank he played on Dillon Francis at Ultra by displaying Francis’ phone number across the LEDs for all to see, Francis finally got the French producer back by buying djsnake.com and using the site to promote his new track. DJ Snake, clearly surprised and amused by the effort, came back in full fashion, though, to release a killer collaboration with Mercer, “Let’s Get Ill.”
The hefty house track is bursting with intensity and energetic vocals. Over the course of its four minutes, DJ Snake and Mercer expertly build up to a grooving 128 BPM house beat, with a sizable bassline driving the heart of the song. Spirited vocals encourage listeners to get out of their seats and “get ill,” guaranteeing the track will make its rounds in festival sets long after summer has faded away.
