Lane 8 delivers five-hour summer mixtape
Lane 8 has been on steady kick of releasing new music from his creative arsenal these days. In just over a month, the Bay Area producer has given fans his highly anticipated Essential Mix for BBC Radio 1, a laudable two-track EP, and a Root To Branch Vol. 2 compilation, featuring collaborators from his This Never Happened label.
Now from Daniel Goldstein comes the next chapter in his 2018 seasonal mixtape series: a whopping five-hour summer mixtape, featuring a chill progression of sounds that will surely transport listeners to a sunny afternoon outdoors. Goldstein’s newest installment covers a bit of his own smooth and deep discography, while also touching on Paul Kalkbrenner, Durante, the psychedelic stylings of Jon Hopkins, a slowed-tempo cut of ODESZA with Leon Bridges, and even some unreleased material from Rinzen.
The full mixtape represents Lane 8’s newest journey through atmospheric peaks and valleys as well as emotional troughs and crests — one that is sure to please in any occasion.
