Maya Jane Coles showcases new ABSOLUTE remix with sultry new ‘Keep Me Warm’ EP
Maya Jane Coles played to her strengths with her mid-2017 release, Take Flight. Sweltering melodies and sultry lyrics led the way as Coles showcased an eclectic mix of her quintessential, off-kilter club sounds. Though playing to the strengths of others, seen quite apparently in her vocalist choices, is also a strong suit of Coles’.
Her latest work Keep Me Warm is a short four-track EP with tracks from Take Flight, including the original six-minute rendition of “Go On and Make It Through,” “A Chemical Affair,” and “Keep Me Warm.”
Ultimately, Coles is showcasing inventive rework of ABSOLUTE’s take on “Keep Me Warm,” and with a newly energetic take on the underground anthem the EP is lush and delightful, alluding to the poise of the artist even the second time around.
