Psych — Dillon Francis pulls epic revenge prank on DJ Snake with fake website, delivers new music as countdown expires
On June 19, a mysterious countdown appeared on djsnake.com, appearing to tease a “special announcement” from DJ Snake, presumably new summertime jams ready for the masses with little notice other than a ticking timer counting down to the following morning. Speculation on social media immediately began to pick up traction, and the website was pretty convincing to the unassuming eye.
Now we’ve finally reached the end of the timer, and what we got isn’t actually from DJ Snake at all — turns out, Dillon Francis has been pulling the strings all along. The dummy domain and posted countdown actually led to a brand new one from Dillon called, “Look At That Butt” featuring Jarina De Marco.
The new tune comes at the end of an epic prank orchestrated by Francis so he could exact revenge on Snake after the “Public Enemy” producer flashed Francis’ phone number across the LEDs at Ultra back in 2015. The fake website sent everyone scrambling, from DJ Snake’s team to DJs and fans alike with a little good-natured panic and excitement. “Look At That Butt” lands as Francis’ latest single in a steady stream of souped-up moombahton offerings, this time featuring the Dominican Mad Decent recruit. The bromance is real, and it just turned out some infectious new heat from Francis that came with an entertaining rollout. Can’t complain.
