Branchez and Big Wet perfectly blend country and electronic music in ‘Fourth of July’

Just about a year ago, Branchez and Big Wet did something that most people hadn’t yet: blend country and electronic music in their freshman single, “Turn Up On the Weekend.” The song quickly went viral, amassing millions of plays and received support from the likes of The Fat Jewish and Big Boi.

With music being a huge melting pot of genres in recent days, the guys decided to test their luck again and this time deliver a track just in time for the “Fourth of July.”

“We know that the image of a U-S-A chanting American does not always evoke feelings of pride and unity right now,” they said of the track. “These are divisive times. We wanted to flip that script and bring some positivity to the current situation because the Fourth is a day for everyone – it’s a celebration of freedom that doesn’t discriminate.”

The video was shot at a lake house, where scenes of partying ensue, from beerbongs to boat rides, Big Wet continuously struts his stuff and lays down hilariously relatable lines.  Themes of pro-sexuality and pro-diversity and sprinkled across the video, as the duo aims to show that this is everyone’s America.
