Don Diablo pays heartwarming tribute to Avicii during Tomorrowland performance [Watch]

Future house maestro and Hexagon label boss Don Diablo crushed his 90-minute Tomorrowland set on Tiësto‘s Musical Freedom stage this past weekend in Belgium. Diablo delivered highlights including “Pizza,” a collaboration with Chris Lake, his tried and true “Smells Like Teen Spirit” remix, and his single with Tiësto, “Chemicals,” of which the Musical Freedom founder joined him on stage for.

To finish the set, he says to the crowd, “If you miss someone right now, put your hands up in the sky” before launching into a beautiful tribute to the late Avicii.  The tribute started with a remix of “Fade Into Darkness” where the dropping into melodic, electro-house joyfulness. Next, was a rework of Bergling’s iconic “Levels” vs Eric Prydz’s “Pjanoo,” and to end the set was Diablo’s collaboration with Swedish singer Hilda “Wake Me When It’s Quiet,” a song written a the day after the passing of Avicii, written to raise awareness for mental health.
