ZEHV – Echo
Indie label Emotional Content Recordings has been working on its reputation as a launchpad for producers in the progressive and melodic realms. They’ve tacked onto some keen talent over their four years of existence, with releases earning support from veterans across the scene.
Their newest release sees the return of San Francisco artist ZEHV to the imprint, and he has offered quite an emotive number indeed. Caressing the ears with ethereal, Innervisions-esque synths that flutter around the background, “Echo” slowly gives way into celestial tones and a warm, harmonic bassline. He uses an abundance of sampling and enticing accents, each of which ebb and flow throughout the duration to create an attention-grabbing progressive staple.
We’re not surprised the EP has climbed its way to the number three spot on Beatport’s Progressive House chart.
